The Orange Women have secured the final victory in the FIH Pro League, and therefore a ticket for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles. For the second year in a row, the Dutch team was able to celebrate the title without having to take action themselves. Due to the loss of points suffered by competitors Argentina and Belgium on Tuesday, the team of national coach Raoul Ehren can no longer be traced.
Belgium, together with Argentina, was the only remaining competitor of the Dutch team. The Argentine women surprisingly lost to Spain (2-1) in London on Tuesday afternoon. As a result, Las Leonas can still come next to the Dutch in points (36), but the number of victories is the deciding factor. And that is precisely where Raoul Ehren's team is unreachable.
The Netherlands won eleven games on the field and was also awarded a regulation victory after the match against Argentina in December, which was canceled due to bad weather.
