The Spanish team lost to the Netherlands team (4-2) in the third match of the Pro League window being played in Rotterdam.
The first two goals for the locals came in the first quarter. Marijin Veen showed speed and opened the scoring in the 7th minute after a control error by Spain. Just two minutes later, Freeke Moes took advantage of spaces in front of María Tello's goal and made it 2-0.
The RedSticks missed two Penalty Corners, the first of the game, and found themselves having problems getting close to the opposing goal during the next quarter. In their field, Spain showed a strong defense, preventing the difference on the scoreboard from widening.
