June 20, 2026 HOCKEY PRO LEAGUE - Red Panthers narrowly lose to Argentina After the 0-1 defeat against China on Thursday, the Red Panthers had to put something right against Argentina on Saturday afternoon. In the first leg last weekend, the Belgians had achieved a good draw (2-2) against the number two in the world.

But the Belgian team had a difficult start. The match was barely three minutes into the game when Argentina took a 0-1 lead thanks to a goal from Jankunas. Adam Commens' players did not hang their heads and immediately attacked. Thanks to aggressive pressing, the Belgians gradually gained more possession of the ball. Despite this territorial dominance, the score remained unchanged until half-time.

Even after the break, the Belgians' intentions remained the same. Young players such as Perrine de Clerck and Famke Van Heel brought extra energy and freshness to the Belgian game with their uninhibited play. However, the chances did not yield anything and on the other side it was a hit. On the third Argentinian penalty corner of the match, Gorzelany made it 0-2. The Belgians deserved better.
