England Hockey released its official team update for the 2026/27 season and confirmed 16 new clubs entering the national structure. The federation stresses that the EHL remains the top level of club hockey in the country and that the Premier Division leads into the next EuroHockey League.

In the women's competition, Buckingham's return to the Premier Division after three years stands out, along with Teddington's historic rise to the top flight. Leicester City and Bowdon 2s also move into Division One, while Team Bath Buccaneers and Old Loughtonians step into new levels under the federation's updated map.

In the men's structure, the University of Exeter will play in the Premier Division for the first time and Bowdon return to the top flight. Leek complete a second straight promotion and Leeds go back into Division One, within a geographic allocation that England Hockey says balances competition, travel time and regional spread.
