Matla and Burg carry goal machine Den Bosch towards milestone

The women of Den Bosch can achieve a special milestone in the playoff final against Amsterdam. The next goal from Den Bosch is the five hundredth since the appointment of head coach Marieke Dijkstra in the summer of 2021. A round number, but above all a number that says a lot about the attacking power and the dependence on two players: Frédérique Matla and Joosje Burg.

Of the 499 official goals that Den Bosch has scored so far under Dijkstra, no fewer than 254 (!) were scored by Frédérique Matla and Joosje Burg. That is 50.9 percent of the total production. So more than half. In a team in which a total of 27 different players scored, Matla and Burg are by far the most decisive names in the Den Bosch goal machine.

The goal figures are impressive: 499 for and 146 against, good for an average number of more than three Den Bosch goals per match.
