Finals weekend at Surbiton quickly produced the kind of bracket England Hockey wanted: heavyweights survived where expected, Wimbledon broke through where it mattered most, and the title matches were left with a clear mix of pedigree and fresh momentum. In the women's competition, Wimbledon reached their first Premier Division final by beating Hampstead & Westminster 2-0, with Becky Manton taking over the second half after a balanced opening spell dominated by two goalkeepers.
