Hockey Belgium backs a fundraising night to support its Masters teams on the road to the 2026 World Cup

A sporting target that also needs community backing

Hockey Belgium turned the spotlight on its Masters teams by announcing a fundraising evening at the Pathé cinema in Louvain-la-Neuve. The event is part of the financial and organisational effort behind the 2026 Masters World Cup, a tournament that will be staged this summer across Belgium and the Netherlands.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday 6 May 2026 and includes a screening of The Devil Wears Prada II followed by a reception in the Grand Hall of the Aula Magna.

The proceeds will help cover registration costs and provide new official kit for Belgium Old Panthers and Belgium Old Lions.

The federation is presenting the evening as an open invitation to families, friends, supporters and hockey fans who want to turn tournament preparation into a shared effort.

The story also underlines something important about Masters hockey: behind the competition there is structure, travel, equipment and real cost. Hockey Belgium has chosen to present that reality openly and turn it into an occasion to bring the wider community together.
