The opening of the Belfius Hockey Arena marks a symbolic and structural leap for Belgium

A stadium that wants to change the scale of Belgian hockey

The inauguration of the Belfius Hockey Arena brought together 4,000 people in a scene that Hockey Belgium wanted to present as a historical turning point. Not for a match or for a specific team, but for the stadium itself: the first in Belgium designed entirely for hockey and a piece with which the federation aspires to consolidate its international weight.

The federation speaks of a reference facility, modern and unique within the country.

The opening was also built as a public experience, with a plaza, restaurants and a festive atmosphere around the venue.

The project sends a clear message: Belgium not only wants to perform well, it also wants to have infrastructure in line with that level.

When a federation inaugurates a stadium of this type, the news goes beyond the concrete. It speaks of institutional ambition, legacy and the will to continue treating hockey as a sport with strategic weight within the country.
