How we collect data and which categories we process

We collect data directly from you when you write to us, submit a contact form, request access, create an account, sign in, or use private features of the product.

We also process technical data derived from browsing, authenticated sessions, site security, and the operational management of the backoffice.

  • Browsing and security data: basic technical logs, IP address, session identifiers, access events, and anti-abuse signals.
  • Language preferences, consent choices, and other technical settings stored in the browser, strictly necessary cookies, or local storage.
  • Contact data: name, email, message, stated consent, detected locale, recently visited pages, and metadata reasonably associated with a request.
  • Account and access data: email, role, session state, operational tokens, authentication events, and the traces needed to manage credentials or recover access.
  • Editorial or operational data linked to authorized users: authorship, internal changes, working comments, or relationships with content and resources managed from the backoffice.

Which information may become public

StickAtlas is designed to display editorial content and structured field hockey data publicly.

If an authorized person is identified as an author, editor, or contributor in published material, some professional or editorial information may become publicly visible inside and outside the product.

  • Headlines, excerpts, articles, author names, editorial bios, publication dates, and other references visible in the public publication.
  • Structured data about countries, competitions, matches, standings, resources, and other editorial or informational elements enabled on the site.

Purposes and legal bases

We process data to provide the service, respond to requests, maintain security, manage access, and operate the publication and its associated private areas.

  • Pre-contractual or contractual necessity when someone requests access, creates an account, signs in, or uses authorized private features.
  • Consent for optional cookie categories and for specific actions that require it, such as voluntarily sending certain forms.
  • Legitimate interest to protect the platform, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain editorial and operational traceability, address incidents, and improve service reliability.
  • Compliance with legal, accounting, tax, security, or cooperation obligations when required.

Recipients, processors, and international transfers

We do not sell personal data. We share data with third parties only when necessary to operate the platform, provide related services, or comply with legal obligations.

  • Hosting, infrastructure, storage, security, and technical support providers acting under our instructions.
  • Authentication, email, Google Analytics when you accept analytics cookies, and other operational tool providers strictly necessary for the product to function.
  • Advisers, authorized maintenance or compliance providers, and public authorities when there is a legal duty or a need to defend rights or prevent fraud.
  • Some providers may involve international data transfers; where relevant, we apply the appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

Retention and restriction

We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described and, where required, keep it restricted to address legal, contractual, or security responsibilities.

  • Data published on the website: while the content remains visible or there is a reasonable editorial, legal, historical, or traceability need.
  • Contact or access requests: for as long as needed to manage them, follow up, archive them operationally, and defend against possible claims.
  • Account and private operation data: while the relationship with the platform remains active and afterwards for the periods needed for support, security, audit, or compliance.
  • Logs and security events: for as long as necessary for monitoring, abuse prevention, and incident investigation.
  • Browser-stored preferences: until they expire, you delete them, or a later choice replaces them.

Your rights and control over data

You may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and portability by writing to polribasrovira@gmail.com.

Where processing is based on consent, you may also withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

We may request additional information to verify your identity before handling a request.

If you believe the processing is not compliant, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Minors, security, and policy changes

StickAtlas is not directed to children under 16 and must not be used to submit personal data below that age.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the processed information.

We may update this policy when the product, applicable legal basis, or relevant providers change. The current version will be published on this page.

If StickAtlas introduces new data flows, processing categories, or providers that materially change what is described here, this policy will be updated before or when those changes take effect.
