Germany closes its Easter youth window with three winners and six teams on the podium

A week of strong signals for Germany's pathway system

The German federation closed the Easter tournament window with a balance that is hard to ignore: three winning teams, a broadly positive performance and constant podium presence. In a youth calendar that often works as a rehearsal for future international hockey, Germany again showed depth and consistency.

Germany's men's Under-18 side won in Rüsselsheim and the women's Under-18 team took the title in Douai, two of the most visible results in the German block.

The official review also underlined that all six German teams involved across those tournaments finished in the top three.

That pattern matters because it says less about one outstanding generation and more about a structure capable of competing across several age groups at the same time.

The story is not just about adding more titles to a weekend tally. It also reinforces the idea of continuity in German hockey: while the Bundesliga remains fiercely contested at the top level, the pathway teams keep supplying results that justify optimism over the medium term.
